Recreation/tourism development
Sainte-Adèle, Quebec
The concept envisions a harmonious cohabitation of various recreation and tourism activities within a highly attractive natural setting. The built intervention is materialized in a linear form at the base of the terrain. The cultural and hotel activities are situated on the north side of the site, toward the natural aspects of the terrain, whereas the recreation activities, including the amusement park, boutiques and outdoor sports centre are located on the south side, oriented toward the Laurentian highway. A 155 meter tower is placed between these two thematic groupings, acting as the main tourist attraction of the complex and an emblem of Saint Adele, queen of the Laurentians.
